Lake Hogan Farms is a converted dairy farm that is located west of Chapel Hill off Homestead Road.  Lake Hogan Farms is 300-acre community of single family homes and townhouses located in Carrboro, NC. Lake Hogan is a high-demand neighborhood with community facilities that include a swimming pool, tennis courts, swim & tennis clubs, a basketball court, children’s playground, walking and biking trails, 12 acre lake, and a clubhouse.

Located 10 minutes from both Chapel Hill and Carrboro town centers, Lake Hogan is situated in a vibrant area that is renowned for its arts and entertainment scene, as well as its close connection, both physically and historically, to the University of North Carolina’s flagship campus in located in Chapel Hill.

Carrboro is known for its many arts and entertainment festivals held throughout the year. The Carrboro Music Festival, held during the fall, is a free all-day event that celebrates local music with over 150 acts preforming in dozens of locations in the downtown area. Every November, Carrboro hosts its annual Film Festival to promote short films produced in North Carolina. Each winter, DSI hosts the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. Acts from New York, LA, Chicago, DC, Boston, Philadelphia flock to Carrboro to preform and network.

If you are looking for a home near the University of North Carolina (UNC) or downtown Chapel Hill you may want to consider Southern Village or Meadowmont as an alternative to Lake Hogan Farms.

There are a range of home types and sizes in this neighborhood.  There are executive homes on a half acre or an acre, there are homes on .3 acre lots and there are patio homes that range in size from 1800-2300 square feet on small, manageable lots.  These houses typically have first floor master bedrooms and two additional rooms upstairs.  They have lovely appointments, nice decks and room for gardening.  There are a four executive home sections where the houses have been built by local custom builders or David Weekly out of Texas.

Upscale townhomes also can be found in Lake Hogan Farms.  These range in square footage from 2,000 to 4,000.  Some have third floor walk up attics and basements.

There is a lake in the neighborhood and a nice walking path.  There also is a very nice pool, clubhouse and tennis courts that are covered by the HOA Dues.
