The Triangle is consistently rated as one of the top places to live in the country. Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill make up the three points in the Triangle, a local term used to represent the cities that surround Research Triangle Park. The area is home to many prestigious companies and government agencies, including: Cisco, Biogen, IBM, Lenovo, United Theraputics, Glaxo Smith Kline, Dupont, RTI International, Credit Swisse, Quintiles, PPD, US EPA, and NIEHS to name a few.
The Triangle area draws a wide variety of people in numerous professions and offers excellent employment opportunities for a diverse and thriving population. The area is also home to three major research universities: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University (in Raleigh) and Duke University (in Durham).
