I live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; a wonderful, fantastic, incredible college town. It is not, however, New York City. For New Years, we decided to take the kids to The Big Appleto experiencethe fun and excitement of being in the City for New Years Eve. We had a wonderful time seeing shows like Wicked, walking 5th Avenue window shopping and going to our favorite, SoHo and the Village.
We were really fortunate to stay at The Manhattan Club, an awesome hotel on 57th street between 7th and Broadway.
All we had to do was walk outside in the freezing
cold and hang out with lots of happy excited folks and watch the ball drop. The coolest part about it was as soon as the ball dropped, we did a 180 degree turn and watched awesome fireworks over Central Park.
What an awesome way to welcome in the New Year.
My family and I wish everyone a very happy, healthy and wealthy 2009!
