Home foreclosure rates in the Triangle region continued to decline in September, according to data from CoreLogic.
Residential foreclosure rates in September were down in both the Raleigh-Cary and the Durham-Chapel Hill metropolitan statistical areas when comparing both month-over-month and year-over-year statistics.
The Raleigh-Cary area foreclosure rate was 1.77 percent in September compared to a rate of 1.81 percent in September 2011. The Durham-Chapel Hill foreclosure rate was 1.61 percent in September compared to a rate of 1.98 percent the year prior.
Nationally, the foreclosure rate was 3.25 percent in September.
