New listings were down again in May 2015 which further decreases total listings year to date by the tune of 3.6%. The median sales price and average sales price are up 5.1% and 8.6% respectively year to date. We saw a huge jump in average sales price in the month of May 2015 compared to the same month the year prior. Average sales prices were up 16.5% from $306,734 to $357,445. The northern part of Chatham County, which has Chapel Hill addresses, is growing tremendously and home prices are reflecting that.
