The February market data are out. These data look at February 2011 as compared to February 2010 and also year to date.
In summary:
- New listings are up 4.3% compared to last year and down 4.3% year-to-date;
- Closed sales are up 10.6% compared to last year and 30.5 year-to-date;
- Average prices are up 8.8% compared to last year and 33% year-to-date.
The landscape not looking bad. In fact, based on the statistics, it sounds incredible. I think that much of this increase is from the push at the end of 2010. February and March have been fairly slow. It will be very interesting to see the March and April numbers.
