North Carolina School Report Cards

School Performance Grades have been issued for the first time for the 2013-14 school year.  All public schools in the state have been assigned an A through F letter grade. Eighty percent of school grades are based on the percentage of student tests scores that are at or above grade-level  and 20 percent are based on academic growth.

School’s final grades are based on a 15-point scale for the 2013-14 school year:

  • A = 85-100
  • B = 70-84
  • C = 55-69
  • D = 40-54
  • F = 40 or less

A 10-point scale will be used for subsequent years.
